Mascara is one of those products that even in the drugstore its still pretty darn expensive, something that annoys me to no end, mascara is one of those everyday necessities for most girls so in most cases it should be cheaper not the opposite! I'm actually a one type of mascara person, I'll buy one, use it until its done and then replace it (usually with a different one), the end but somehow over the past couple of months I've ended up with a few that I just haven't been able to finish so I thought I'd do a bit of a review/comparison post.

| Mascara Wands, left to right: Collection Longer Lash, Rimmel Scandal Eyes and Maybelline the Falsies. |
L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara: This mascara I featured in my most recent favourites (link here) and for good reason - it doesn't make my eyes look clumpy, it doesn't smudge and can be built up for wearing at night. Throughout the month this is what I've been wearing on a daily basis as it gives volume and length and makes my eyes look nice and defined - such a winner. It just makes me want to try more L'Oreal mascaras now.
Maybelline The Falsies Volume Express Mascara: this needs absolutely no introductions, everyone I'm pretty sure has heard of or has owned this and with good reason - its such a lovely everyday mascara. I like the purple and blue colour theme going on (not being influenced by packaging at all) and the mascara brush itself with its curved shape is one of the easiest I've used. Its impossible for this to make your eyes clumpy and instead gives a nice length and volume, nothing too extreme. One of my all time favourites!
Rimmel Scandal Eyes Lycra Flex Mascara and the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Volume Flash Mascara: I've kind of just combined these two because they're so similar, whilst shopping these were part of a free gift offer and I thought I might as well try them while I had them. Unfortunately we just didn't get on at all, they were really clumpy and I just didn't like the mascara once applied. I didn't want to waste them so now they're being used as a topcoat mascara for when my eyes need to be layered up or darkened a little bit more.
Collection Longer Lash Waterproof Mascara: I don't even remember buying this one, it was probably a three for two offer or maybe just because I wanted a cheap waterproof mascara which works (and this surprisingly does). This one is very simplistic with a small and straight brush and a Halloween colour theme. Its a bit of an awkward one to apply, the brush it quite stiff and the bristles are really close together and it leaves my lashes looking thin and not that much longer than usual - its more of a eyelash tint for me, not really what I wanted but if you're looking for a really natural, cheap and waterproof mascara it might be worth checking out.
Thanks for reading, Jenny xo
P.s what are your favourite mascaras from the drugstore?
