High End Haul

I'm probably not the only one with a wishlist as long as my arm but at the start of the year and end of 2014, there were too many sales and bargains to resist purchasing a few things as a little treat. Wonderful news for me, terrible for my bank account. Anywho most of the things I actually ordered were beauty related, are you surprised and then the odd perfume chucked in for good measure and I already love them to pieces so I thought I'd put together a little haul post since they're one of my favourites to read!  

Ever since I purchased my YSL rouge volupte shine lipstick in the summer I've been dying to try more from their makeup range, it all looks absolutely stunning in its gold packaging and that's the only excuse I have. I'd heard plenty about the touché éclat from other bloggers and beauty lovers but I hadn't convinced myself that I really needed it or could justify the price tag, prettiness aside. However when Feel Unique had a cheeky offer on I managed to snatch it up for less than £20 which I was quite proud of. 

The second YSL purchase was the YSL baby doll mascara set, I really wanted to try this and it's usually around the £25 mark so when I saw the set in Boots for £15 I knew it was meant to be, so I not only got the mascara for a bargainous price but also a sample sized makeup remover too! I thought I'd include this as well as I finished my Mac duo over the last week or two but that's a separate post and I couldn't be happier that it's finished and ready to use! It's just so cute and makeup bag friendly. 

Christmas is also just a time for gift sets which are often great value so when I saw the Benefit all about prime on offer, I needed it, not only has the porefessional been top of my wishlist for a long time but it also included a skincare sample too. I'm questioning why I didn't get round to purchasing it sooner actually and I'm so eager to try it. Lastly I bought the One Direction You & I perfume gift set which smells incredible, I own their our moment fragrance and loved it so thought it would be right to get their other fragrance too and the bottle looks soonnice sitting on top of my dresser. I actually bought this without realising it was the 50ml bottle but I'm not complaining :) this may not seem like too much but they're  some nice additions to my makeup collection, I should probably put myself on a spending bank now but I hope you enjoyed reading :)

Dear Santa: Wishlist

From time to time I love a good wishlist and whats better than making one at Christmas time, I think its a habit of mine to make really unrealistic and blooming long lists, did anyone else ever cut out half the Argos book for Santa just because it looked pretty? Well at least I'm older and they're a bit better than what they were (well I try) but this is still a hefty wishlist and I wouldn't even expect half of it, not to mention it would probably give my parents a heart attack! I still thought I'd publish it on here because I love reading wishlists and getting some inspiration for my own, so I hope it helps.  

Of course theres some makeup bits and pieces on there like a Nars blush, their foundation and concealer mainly because I couldn't justify buying myself it through the year, a MAC lipstick to add to my collection, MAC Fix+ because I've heard so many good things, a paintpot because one is not enough and a replacement of my Studio Fix. Theres also some lip crayons from Soap&Glory, there is an actual set including three that you can buy but I couldn't find the link for it. I think that's pretty good on the makeup side of things. I did also mention the Zoeva brushes which are stunning and would look amazing, hint hint on my dressing table. 

I also included a lot of miscellaneous items like fairy lights for my room because I can never find any that don't resemble Christmas tree lights, a diary and organiser for the new year, socks as I'm forever losing mine - I swear someone steals them, a watch in brown and black - just plain staple ones that'll go with everything and still look pretty, some jewellery (maybe) and a phone case for my iphone 5 because again I can never find any that I like. 

Also some perfume is a lovely stocking filler and this year I'm hoping that I get One Directions You and I perfume and Christian Dior's J'adore - both smell incredible. Whilst we're on nice smelling things anything from Lush is a lovely gift or even Soap and Glory too. I did ask for the Emma Hardie cleansing balm which was in a set and almost half its usual price, a pair of GHD's (there a long time investment ;)), a Zara City Bag and some Disney DVD's.  

As I said at the start I would never expect even half of this but these are things on a very long list of things I would like and I'll probably buy myself them throughout the new year but I just thought I'd share as it might give others a late idea of what they want.

Blogmas Day 17: Origins Mask Marvels

If you've read any of my older posts you'll know that I love a good face mask, in fact I probably have a collection thats considered unhealthily large yet I can't stop buying them! The Origins face masks are probably raved about by everyone and they were top of my skincare wishlist (yes, thats a thing) for so long and then my Christmas list for this year because I could never justify the hefty price tag, (well hefty for a student)... until a few weeks ago when Boots decided to have to most amazing offer.

The Origins Mask Christmas Set includes three of their most well known masks, the Clear Improvement Active charcoal mask, the Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask and the Out of Trouble 10 minute mask and I've really wanted to try all three. This set was on offer at less than half price so £23 for three products whereas one on its own usually retails at £20ish so I knew this was definitely a good offer and a chance to try out all three and find a favourite :) 

The masks are 75ml in comparison to the usual 100ml tubes but 25 ml less for two extra masks was a bit of a no brainier for me. As soon as they arrived I couldn't wait to try them out and as far as smells go they smell amazing, always an added bonus! the packaging is so cute, I love the colourful design and because there's blue in the colour scheme as well it doesn't look too Christmassy and can be used all year around. 

This would be such a cute stocking filler or Christmas gift for someone who loves skincare of even just loves a pampering session (and who doesn't love one of those on a Sunday night?)  I basically can't wait to try these out and see if love them or not, I'll let you all know I'm sure. I'm pretty sure this won't be the first and last thing I buy from Origins though - their products are so cute!

Soap & Glory: The Next Big Thing

Every year I'm late to the party and just miss out on the massive Soap & Glory bundle, I never know when it's going to be on sale or else it just flies off the shelves (literally) far too quickly for my liking and this year I was putting my foot down and buying it for myself. I'd seen a few blog posts recently about it coming up soon (by mid December, now I was starting to panic), I'd been religiously checking the Boots website and luckily yesterday I received the wonderful email telling me it would be available from today onwards.

There are two variations of the Soap & Glory: The Next Big Thing set this year, one for those buying the gift online and another for those bought in store, they're both designed by London fashion designer Hattie Stewart and I love both of the designs equally. I think I might prefer the instore version just a smidge more but I'll probably end up ordering the online version for handiness. Both boxes contain the same amount of products, a whopping ten products are included in these, such as body wash, body scrub, hand cream, one of their lipglosses, mascara and body butter. 

I haven't tried too much from Soap & Glory but the things that I have tried I've absolutely loved - I think the signature scent plays a part in this and the fact that they're pretty great products too! Each of these products included are full sized, not just minis which is really impressive (probably heavy too) with a massive value of £76 however for this week and being one of Boots most popular star gifts, the gift sets only priced at £29 which is incredible value! For someone who hasn't tried that much from S&G like myself it's ideal as you get to fall in love with test out so many products at once. 

I'm definitely going to be making an order later on this morning, I just need to get my hands on it and I would advise you to make an order as soon as possible. These gifts sets due to their amazing value really do fly off the shelves and mums go crazy and buy three / four at a time, not thinking about how they're going to transport them home but I guess they want a bargain, same as everyone else.... all in all, I think I need it.

No7 Skincare

As you may have guessed from my recent posts (I say recent, it was probably a week ago), I'm on a reviewing craze at the minute, I like to mix up my posts normally so they aren't too boring or same-y .... thats definitely not a word but recently I've found a lot of products that I've loved and wanted to share with you all - the phase will probably stop, soon but in the meantime enjoy!   

I also mentioned that skincare posts are going to frequent more on my blog and so this skincare product and review duo are perfect. I've always wanted to try the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanse & Polish but I could never get my hands on it, luckily my local Boots now has a stand (thank goodness) so with a No7 voucher in hand I opted for the next best thing. I decided to buy No7's hot cloth cleanser in the travelling size just to see if I liked it and it worked, plus I can't get over how cute it looks.

This cleanser comes in really handy when I'm feeling lazy or my skin needs revitalizing, I simply apply the cleanser in circular motions with my fingers, then use the provided muslin cloth over my face to open my pores and then simply wash off (or polish it off) with the same cloth. It sounds like a lot but honestly it takes two seconds and it leaves your skin feeling fresh and lovely. This is definitely one of my shorter reviews but honestly I can't rave about it enough, its a great skincare product - not one that I would use daily because that would be a waste but every so often I'll just pop it on.

Another great thing about this is that its suitable for all skin types, No7 usually have ranges within their skincare products aimed at specific skin types but that isn't the case with this so practically anyone can use it. Its a great size for taking on the go as well and I can't wait to repurchase this when its finished, I might find it in some of the No7 Christmas sets too, I'll have to keep an eye out. Hope that helped a little, I'm still a proper skincare routine newbie but I'm getting there!

The Body Shops Tea Tree Facial Wash

This weeks been a bit of a tough one for me and usually with tough weeks and stress comes the odd breakout or two but luckily this time around that hasn't happened and I'm pretty sure its because of my new holy grail skincare product... The Body Shops Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash (they couldn't have made a longer name for it if they'd tried) which has helped my spot prone skin so much lately.  

I'm usually not one for skincare reviews, I mean theres the odd one here and there but they're such an important part of our everyday routines and they're just skipped over it seems. I love finding out about new skincare products whilst reading other blogs and seeing what would work for my skin and for that reason I can sense they'll be making more of an appearance on my own blog.  

I've never really used facial washes religiously before as I didn't see any changes in my skin and deemed them a waste of time but not now - maybe I'd been using the wrong facial washes. This facial wash had been sitting in my bathroom for a while now, picked up and forgotten about in a haul and it was only a month or two ago when I was having a really bad skin day I decided to try it and I'm hooked. At first I was a bit wary because some reviews said the tea tree range can be quite drying but upon using it, this isn't the case at all!

The facial wash is a part of the Tea Tree range and aimed primarily at blemished skin or spot prone skin so its suitable for most teenagers and probably young adults too since I'm using it. It also aims to provide an intense daily cleanse in order to remove impurities for clearer looking skin and from what I can see its done just that. My skin has drastically improved over the months I've been using this and apart from the odd spot once in a blue moon (we can't have clear skin 24/7) I feel so much happier having clearer skin and knowing that this product is working. I don't use it daily but every two days to give my skin some variety and I've found less is more when using this product so it lasts for ages. Its also quite a large bottle containing 250ml and for £5 its not exactly breaking the bank, the only downside for some people is that it is scented and the Tea Tree can be a little strong but once you're using it you can't smell it at all, unless you're sniffing the bottle but thats completely different. All in all, I'll definitely be re-purchasing this when it runs out, its wonderful!

The Body Shop Seaweed Clay Mask

One thing I have a love for is face masks and with the colder months on the way I thought it'd be best to pick up a few more to treat my skin with every Sunday night & maybe a few nights in between too. The newest addition to my collection being The Body Shop Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask for oily/combination skin and since I've fallen for it so much I thought I'd write a review for it - which has been a long time coming!

Most Body Shop products are tailored to certain skin types and although this mask is for oily/combination skin, I think it would also suit those with acne prone skin too! My skin isn't too oily, just sometimes and it makes such a difference to my skin so it would probably do wonders for those who do have oilier skin. Whilst placing an order a while back I decided to buy this, now I hadn't smelt it in store and knew from experience I didn't like the smell of real life seaweed so I don't know exactly why I picked it but I'm so glad I did - it smells lovely (a little strong) but still lovely and fresh and once I'd opened the tub I couldn't stop smelling it, am I the only one?

The mask being clay is quite thick and a greeny-grey colour, think swampy colours and when it dries it changes to a lighter whitey-grey colour. I've actually used it loads of times already and I haven't made a dent in the tub so it'll definitely last a while. Originally I wasn't sure about the £13 price tag but eventually I took the plunge and haven't looked back, in fact its made me want to try more masks from The Body Shop. I only use this once a week usually or if I'm feeling a bit down throughout the week I might use it again, its so easy to apply, just try not to laugh and crack it which I always seem to do and most importantly its not a hassle to remove!

This mask is meant to draw out impurities, excess oils and refresh the skin and it does all of that and more. Its only meant to be applied for 5-10 minutes but I've realised the longer you leave it on the better the results, I usually leave it on whilst watching tv so between half an hour to an hour oops and whenever I take it off my skin feels oh so soft and healthy. I also haven't had that many spots as of late and I think frequently usinng this may have something to do with it so I'm dying to try a few more things from the Seaweed Range which you can find here (link) where the mask retails for £13, don't panic there's plenty of offers to keep an eye out for. I definitely recommend picking one of these up next time you fancy buying a face mask :)

August Non-Beauty Favourites

The Summer has dissappeared? With it being the end of August and September right around the corner I think its safe to say Autumn is on its way and I'm both happy and sad about it. Although we haven't had too much sun, its been nice to have no routine & simply relax before we all get back to the boring 9 to 5. Anyways less ranting, more favourites. This is my non beauty favourites because nine times out of ten I enjoy writing these more as there less common & it lets you know more about me and my interests and such so here we go. 

Not too long ago I was looking lusting over mid year diaries and planners in Paperchase for writing down all my blogging thoughts in for the next year and a half, I thought I would upgrade from planning on my iPad but walked away without one. Then I stepped into Poundland, not quite the same but they had a bunch of mid year diaries for you guessed it, a £1 and I thought why not. It can easily just be chucked in my bag, its a bit dull (I'm having a monochrome moment) and small but it does all I need it to do and honestly its made blogging, planning and organising so much easier having it all down on paper. 

As for skincare bits and pieces, I'm not sure if these should be in the beauty favourites or not but skincare is a bit different from makeup so they're here for now. I'm loving The Body Shop at the minute and have been raving all month about their cleansing butter, if you read my review here (link) and their seaweed mask. I'm a face mask addict, I think. They're the skincare item that I can't seem to stop buying but this tops all of them - I'll be doing a review soon on this but oh my goodness I'm in love and between these two my skin has been (touch wood) far clearer than normal. 

I always try and include an album or tv programme in my monthly favourites and although Pretty Little Liars and Teen Wolf are amaazing, I started watching Scandal this month and I'm already halfway through the second season. I love law programmes, murder mystery that sort of thing, and this is definitely more on the law side of things. It follows around Olivia Pope, her team and the drama in their personal lives as well, making it more light hearted and I can't wait to catch up enough to watch the third series. I just can't recommend it enough! Also Taylor Swift released a new song, Shake It Off which has been stuck in my head for the past two weeks and although I much prefer her older music this is unbelievably catchy and I love the message behind it! 

Lastly I purchased new sunglasses in the sale, I was hoping for sun and I love the design - when it comes to sunglasses the bigger the better and I'm going through a tortoise shell phase too so the first chance of sun we have in September (we all know its sunny when everyone's back to school) these will be my go to. The Body Shops Camomile Cleansing Butter

About a month ago or so The Body Shop had some offers on that even I couldn't refuse, apart from the odd product of theirs like the Honey Bronzer & a few lip butters I didn't actually own anything from their skincare range - something I needed to check off my to do list. With a £40 basket of products (am I the only one that can't stop filling the blooming basket?) & a code for £20 off I was excited and couldn't wait for it all to be delivered to my doorstop! 

 One of these things was the The Body Shops Chamomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter, something I'd heard a fair bit about but hadn't actually given a go until now. When I first opened it, it just looked like a candle without the wick (oh how wrong are first impressions) and it smelt wonderfully fresh and a little like tan (but a nice fake tan, not those horrid smelling ones), a bit of a weird mix I know but I actually like it. The whole idea of the cleansing butter is to use it to take your makeup off at the end of the day and as I'm so used to my usual micellar water, cotton pads and good old soap and water I was a little bit hesitant.

It felt so odd at first to be putting this on my fingers and then rubbing at the makeup on my face but I kept going and without a few minutes the makeup was melting off and making a right mess of my face, this time in a good way. I simply washed this off with a flannel or muslin cloth and patted my face dry and oh my goodness, I have been converted to cleansers. For the rest of the night I couldn't stop touching my face, it was that soft and above all, makeup free! Since then I've used it every single night and I don't know what I'd do without it now. I love the way it makes my skin feel so fresh and soft and a little definitely goes a long way. If you're looking to try a new cleansing balm and don't want to fork out for the higher end ones at the minute, this is definitely one to try!

Skincare Wishlist #1

Skincare is something that I always tend to neglect, I mean I just don't know where to start, what would work, what brands to go to, the lot. It's all a little overwhelming and if I'm honest a simple moisturiser, the odd spot cream and frequent face masks seems to keep my skin in good condition although I know thats probably the worst attitude to take oops. Skincare is something I'd love to get in to & so I made a skincare wishlist (bar one or two odd ones) from a range of brands below.

I've heard nothing but great things about Origins as a whole, but especially their face masks so I'd like to try a few such as the Drink Up Intensive Mask, the Clear Improvement Charcoal Mask & of course the GinZing Energy boosting moisturiser as heading into the winter months I think I'll need a few more face masks for my collection. Also recently I bought The Body Shops Cleansing Butter (stay tuned for a review) but for ages (read: months) I've wanted to try a few higher end alternatives too such as the famous Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm and the Clinque Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm. 

Although the summers nearly through I've been quite liking BB creams and this Dr Jart+ BB cream sounds wonderful, that and the Nuxe Reiv de Miel are the more makeup/skincare items on my wishlist as a good lip balm is absolutely essential in the colder autumn and winter months - no one likes dry lips! The body shop body butters are also something that I haven't got round to trying as of yet so I'd really like to try them out too. 

Now micellar waters have been having a moment over the past few months or so but somehow I haven't got round to trying the original micellar water, Bioderma, which I really should have by now! The La Roche Possay Effaclair Duo+, Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish and Indeed Labs Hydraluron are also on my to buy list. These are all beauty bloggers favourites and with nothing but positive reviews I think its about time I got round to trying a few of them out for myself.

Lush: Bloomin' Beautiful

Although I'm an avid Lush lover, I don't actually own that much from the brand and more surprisingly I've never featured anything Lush-ish on my blog, crazy I know! This Lush Blooming Beautiful box was something I was bought for my birthday & honestly it had been forgotten about until I had a right old drawer sort out the other day when I found it & knew it had to be used! The packaging is beyond cute - these little boxes from Lush are perfect for gifts since they're so nicely decorated, just all round girly and they smell amazing.

So I may have went a tad overboard with photos but how could I not? They look amazing! The Pop in the Bath Bubble Bar got bashed around a little in the box despite being filled to the brim with polystyrene (talk about alliteration - did I say enough words beginning with B?) One of its petals has broken off a little bit but its not really noticeable and still usable so I'm happy! Both of these bath bombs smell incredible and I actually kept the box open overnight by accident - I just couldn't fit everything back in again and was pleasantly surprised to wake up to a very nice smelling bedroom - a mix of citrus and vanilla.   

The second bath bomb, the Think Pink Bath Ballistic is my favourite of the two and I just had to take a close up of the flowers on the top - they're so pretty and its a little sad to think they're just going to disintegrate in the bath, it almost makes me want to keep them on show in my room, almost. Aside from looking pretty and smelling great I can't wait to actually use both of these, whenever I've used Lush bath bombs in the past they've left my skin feeling refreshed and ever so soft so I'm hoping these will be the same. I really need to start venturing into my local Lush store from now on as I always forget to so feel free to leave me recommendations to check out or just let me know what your favourite bits and pieces are from Lush?

Soap & Glory Skincare?

Soap & Glory bath and body products are well known (ahem hand food) and their makeup range also gets a lot of attention but until recently I wasn't aware that they had a skincare range, this may be a fault on my part or the terrible aisles of my local Boots, either way when I found it I had to try something out. A few weeks back I was having a 'pore' problem shall we say, the pores around my nose were more visible than normal and so when I found the S&G range and this product, it was like my prayers were answered. 

This mask is a 2 in 1 mask, meaning it doubles up as an exfoliator and as well as acting as a pore purifying mask, now I haven't tried it as of yet all over my face as I have my other trusted quick fix face mask to use instead so I'm not sure how it acts as an all over exfoliator but if the T zone is anything to go by, it works wonders. I love the packaging with the embellished Soap and Glory logo, its a nice finishing touch and the tub although slightly smaller than other masks I've used I find that a little goes a long way as I've been using it quite a while and I haven't even made a dent.     

As I only had a problem with the pores on my T zone area, I just used the mask on this area twice a week and within a week or two my pores had been minimised (is it just me, or does that spelling look wrong? google best not be lying) and I felt a lot better about my T zone. The fact that the mask is a blue/green/white colour and dries that colour on the skin is also great, I'm not fond of masks that sink into your skin as I always forget about them, I'm sure I'm not the only one. An added bonus on top of all of that is that the mask smells amazing, if you're not keen on mint, this maybe isn't for you but I love minty smelling products, they always smell so fresh. The mask also leaves my skin feeling soft, fresh and completely cleansed - what more could you want from a weekly pick me up. 

     After this I've definitely been converted and I can't wait to try other products from the 'newly found' Soap & Glory skincare line. Do you have any recommendations?

Review: Garnier Eye Makeup Remover

I know theres a lot of love for the Garnier Micellar water, I feel the same but love for this little one not so much? In fact when I picked up the micellar water (which was probably months ago) I picked this up as well, I just hadn't gotten round to giving it a go but now I have I thought I'd do a review for you all. Also can I just point out the cute map background (which was actually a birthday gift bag, blame my inner geography nerd ey), I love it and you should probably expect a few more cheeky snaps with this in view. Alas on to the product.....

 

We're all guilty of wanting to curl up collapse into bed with a face full of makeup when it reaches one in the morning but this remover is so easy and quick that my skin has been saved and I somehow have the effort to take my makeup off, no one likes panda eyes the next morning. On a night out my eye makeup is much heavier than my base and so I always dread taking it all off but this remover has made it ten times easier and in one sweep of a cotton pad, its disappeared (even the waterproof).

Garnier also claims that the eye makeup remover 'protects eyelashes' as it contains Arginine, leaving them cleaner and thus less eyelashes falling out on the cotton pad, now this I'm not sure about. I haven't used it long enough to actually notice a difference in my eyelashes, I didn't really pay much use to them before if I'm honest so I don't notice a change but on others it might work. I just know that its a little makeup wonder and its helped me cleanse my skin at night, leaving my skin feeling fresh and makeup free - the best thing it only takes less than a minute.

Face Masks: Top 3!

Face masks are quickly becoming my skincare favourites! The thought of settling down and having a cosy night in watching movies, eating far too much chocolate and just generally relaxing with a face mask on is perfect. Lately I've been reaching for these three as a quick pick me up and pamper session as I know they work for me and I really want to pick up a couple more, so feel free to let me know what your top 3 face masks are :)  

The Boots Essentials mask is just one I picked up on a whim one day, it was on offer and right beside my trusty Teatree and Witch hazel moisturiser so I thought why not. I'm going to be honest the smell sold me, it just smells of cucumber which I love. Its supposedly a 3 minute clay mask which gently soften, soothes and draws out impurities, now I'm sure I'm not the only one but 3 minutes turns more into half an hour whilst watching the soaps and so you'd think it'd work twice as well being on the skin for so much longer. Its quite thick and dries quickly so you need to be careful getting this on your face as soon as possible, however afterwards it leaves your skin feeling lovely and fresh and has since been placed on my dresser to make sure I use it more often. 

The second mask is a single use mask which is from Superdrugs own line, ideal for all skin types. This was the first mask I picked up out of the three and goodness knows how long ago that was now but yet I still find myself going back to it. I haven't tried any others from the range as I love this one way too much and know it works, its the Superfruits exfoliating mask and oh my, it smells amazing. I almost don't want to use the mask once its open... it smells that good, just a waft of raspberry, cranberry and blueberry fruit extracts, what more could you want. This one is an exfoiliating mask so its gritty and is a solid mask, it changes colour once its dried on your face, something I much prefer to it sinking it and disappearing. Everytime I've used this my skin has dramatically improved - almost glowing and although its only a single use, theres so much of the mask leftover that it could easily be covered and used a couple more times - definitely worth its price tag of £1 something. 

The third and last mask that I'm featuring is from a brand I'd never even heard of before strolling into Boots, its called Quick Fix Facials and is a calming clay mask aimed at red and sensitive skin. Now I may not have overly sensitive skin and only rosy cheeks but I thought it wouldn't be too harsh and that it might do me a world of good, boy was I right. It claims to provide 10 facials but I've used it way more than that and I haven't made a dent in it so its well worth your money. It does smell a little but I can't for the life of me tell you what of, it's not bad though. The mask itself its an absolute skincare gem, the other night I was starting to have a breakout, well I could feel it under my skin so I popped this on for a few hours, washed it off before bed and the next morning it had made most of the spots disappear completely and it'll definitely be repurchased as soon as it runs out.

Review: Shine Control Moisturiser

Over the holidays I indulged in, dare I say it far too much chocolate and sweets even for my liking and my skin really suffered as a result. I had a lot of breakouts, not massive ones but enough to knock your self confidence a little. I usually hate putting make up on my face when my skins like this and hibernate for a few days allowing my skin to breathe but not anymore.

This Shine Control Day Moisturiser from the Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel range had been collecting dust in the bottom of my drawer and on a whim I decided to see if it would make any difference to my skin and I can't believe I hadn't got round to using it sooner - it's an absolute skin saver! Its a gel like consistency and claims to lightly moisturise and care for your skin meanwhile blotting up excess oils and controlling shine. Check, check and check. It definitely does all of the above. It's perfect for everyday use and my skin has improved so much whilst using this, I've suffered from little to none breakouts and my skin just feels a lot healthier. After washing my face in the morning I apply this and for the rest of the day my skin is as soft as ever and as strange as this sounds very touchable - it just makes me want to touch my face which could possibly earn a few odd looks if I'm in public but you get the jist.

This is definitely going to be added to my skincare routine and for being so inexpensive I had doubts about it actually working but that just goes to show not all amazing products have to cost a lot. I think I'm going to have to invest in a few other products in the range to see if they work just as well as this.
