700 Followers Post

2 February 2015
It's scary that my blogs a little over a year old and I have a whopping 700 followers on Bloglovin', I know some people reach that in less than six months but I'd rather less people follow me and for me to post content that I enjoy writing than having to change to suit my readers. Of course I love beauty posts but lifestyle posts definitely find a way of sneaking in and these are actually what I love reading the most so it makes sense but last week I finally reached the massive milestone and I couldnt be happier about it!

I know I'm not the most regular at posting but with working both full time though the week, with a part time job on the weekend and a three hour commute each day, it's taking its toll. The only irritating thing being the lack of daylight for decent blog photographs but I'm getting there with the bulk photo taking on the weekends, sort of. I always try and take the time to reply to every comment I get on my blog posts as it means so much for someone to give feedback on a post that a lot of time and effort goes into. Sometimes with mass followers its a lot harder to do this and that's why being a smaller blog works just fine for me.

I do think it's time I had a little makeover but I just don't have the time to sit down and decide what I'd like to change, although I like the whole minimalist blog theme, I think it's too overdone and I like having a colourful background rather than just plain white, any layout suggestions are welcome.... I also tried to take ootd photos the other day for a blog post, who knew it could be so hard without natural light so some more fashion related lists might be up soon, youtubers a definite no for the minute, unless I can get a camera that doesn't drain the battery in two minutes whilst taking videos.

Also this has been a long time coming but I'm going to do my first ever giveaway soon, I know what I'm buying for it and hopefully you'll all like it, I thought it would be better to do a mix of things rather than just a MAC lipstick (although I would never say no) so yes keep your eyes peeled - hopefully I'll get shopping asap! I'm going to stop myself before this gets too long, a bad habit of mine but I just wanted to say a massive thank you for anyone who's followed my blog so far :)

Thanks for reading, Jenny xo
P.s does anyone use GFC? I feel like it's a dying art but I really want to use it still, if anyone does please follow me via that or I'll follow you, either or :) and again thank youuuuu!

Christmas Time!

25 December 2014
I just want to say a massive Merry Christmas to all of my blog followers and anybody else who may be reading! This is a bit of a short post mainly because today is all about spending time with my family & relaxing, as it should be and I've only just got round to having some down time of my own and typing this up, at half ten at night sorry everyone. I'm also quite shocked how fast today has flown in (and thats saying a lot when you've been up since 8am - thats like the crack of dawn on the holidays) but its been amazing nonetheless.

I think because I've been working crazy hours in the run up to Christmas and I really have had to juggle everything about instead of leisurely buying presents for everyone I've learnt to appreciate Christmas even more, if that makes sense? Yesterday it felt so weird to be working on Christmas Eve instead of watching Christmas movies and visiting friends/family and tomorrow I'll be working Boxing Day - not before a sneaky early morning trip to the sales, I couldn't not take advantage of those so today was my proper day off and it meant I was more appreciative.

A typical morning in our house on Christmas is waking up (usually at a ridiculous time) although its getting later as we get older, no 6am starts anymore and unwrapping all of our presents in front of the tree which I absolutely love doing - it makes it all the more fun ripping the paper off, I know some people don't get their presents wrapped but I personally prefer it! After presents its all about the food, both breakfast and starting the lunch and playing/looking at everything that we've got in more detail I guess and thanking everyone :) Once the foods on its time to settle down and watch some good old Christmas movies or Christmas tv until lunch time which usually works out at mid afternoon.

By 4pm everyones off for a nap, its just that time in the day when everything catches up on you and you need a little energy boost for the rest of the day and the Christmas tv programmes like Doctor Who, Coronation Street and Strictly Come Dancing - I told you my tv habits are like I'm like sixty five at heart, not always a bad thing I guess. In amongst all of the tv watching and the odd board game or two, I consume as much chocolate as physically possible, I hope I'm not the only one! This year I actually made everyone play Cluedo this year, its a tradition that everyone disappears whenever I get it out but this year they didn't and I surprisingly won the game, what can I say I love being a detective?

So maybe this post wasn't as short as I thought it would be but I'm definitely tired and I've to get up early for work and shopping tomorrow so I'm sure I'll be out for the count by half eleven... I'm getting old but I just wanted to say a huge Merry Christmas to you all :) I hope you's all had a wonderful day with your friends and family, you stuffed your faces and Santa brought you everything that you wanted!

Thanks for reading, Jenny xo

Just a little thank you!

6 February 2014

Instead of posting a normal post I thought I would write something a little bit different - for the past few days I've been busy with University and haven't been constantly checking this.... for once. Therefore when I signed in earlier today and checked my emails to see that I had reached 120 Followers on Bloglovin' and 7 on Google Friend Connect I was in complete shock - happy shock nonetheless. Thank you all! This may not seem like a huge number but considering I thought I'd have like 5 followers, it means an awful awful lot.

Therefore this is just a little post to show my appreciation to those who follow, comment and just in general chat to me. I've only had my blog for a month and it's crazy to think so many people have read my ramblings or who have spent their time reading through my posts. I've also seen so many lovely comments on my blog which I love reading through and which genuinely make my day. The blogging community is just so welcoming and friendly and I'm happy that my little blog and myself are now a part of it.

I have a habit of writing terribly long posts so I'll try and be quick - I just want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone, it means a lot that you support me and my blog. This being my first blogging milestone means its something really special but who knows I might reach another in the future. I love you all :)
