DVD Haul

20 April 2015
I've only just noticed how little I mix it up on the blog in terms of non beauty related things which is a bit of a let down since I love reading non beauty posts on other blogs so much so I thought I'd incorporate some more. Over the past few weeks I've been on a dvd binge as you will, usually I'm not a huge dvd buyer and my collection is probably a lot smaller than average so I thought I'd build it up starting with a few Disney classics & share with you lovely readers of course!

I'll always be the first person to put my hands up and say I love Disney, always have, always will and this is showing my age but all of my Disney movies I have at the minute are on video (I'm a true nineties kid) & lets be serious no one has video players anymore so I thought I'd have to update the collection into DVD format. Therefore when I seen a buy one get one free offer I knew I'd have to pick some up, this resulting in me buying eight (I told you I binged) Disney DVD's.

In the end I decided on The Lion King, one of my favourites movies of all time, Peter Pan (the animated version), Sleeping Beauty and The Jungle Book. At first that was all I was going to buy but then I went back a few days after and couldn't resist so I picked up Cinderella, The Lady and the Tramp, 101 Dalmations and Monsters University to join my lone Tangled DVD. I was sort of restricted in the ones I could buy because not all of them were on offer but you can still imagine my excitement and inner child jumping for joy when these packages arrived on the doorstep, can't you?

To balance it out a little I thought it'd be better to buy a few more 'grown up' movies, I say grown up (I mean not pg), I'm a wild child alright. The first one is the Maze Rumner, I remember seeing this movie last year and loved it, Dylan O'Brien is adorable too and I'm looking forward to the second movie, The Scorch Trials which is going to be released this year (I'm halfway through the book at the minute and I can't seem to put it down).

After that I bought Gone Girl which is unusual for me because at the age of 20, I can safely say I don't own very many 18 rated movies, I think it's because scary/creepy/twisted isn't really my thang, give me a 15 and that'll do me. I'm now on the hunt for yet more DVDs, I'm dying to pick up a few like Finding Nemo & Monsters Inc as well as some non Disney DVDs too, maybe some rom-coms. I can see me needing new storage in the near future for them too so a trip to ikea might be on the cards and that can never be a bad thing. So yeah I hope you enjoyed this kind of post, let me know!

Thanks for reading, Jenny xo
P.s if you can think of any good DVDs, new or old, leave them below? Have you bought any lately?

TOP 6: TV

7 March 2015
As of late, I've been struggling to find some good old me time, something we all need - especially after running round like headless chickens most of the week (or is it just me?) When I do get an hour or so to myself magically, I usually watch some of my favourite tv programmes, which I've included below. Some tv shows have a hype around them, others that are equally as deserving don't so I thought showing a few favourites in a post like this would be useful as I love finding new shows & getting gripped on each episode!

1. Broadchurch. I was seriously late on the bandwagon with this one, it was well loved all last year when it was shown and had everyone gripped but I didn't have the time to watch it from the start and didn't want to start mid season so I binge watched Season 1 online, before the second began (which was probably a better idea) so I was up to date and it was just as amazing! If you enjoy itv dramas, this is perfect or even just a good old who done it murder, without the gore and blood - definitely a must see!

2. The Walking Dead. Its amazing to see how popular this has become, I remember watching season one way back in the day and no one had really heard of it. If you like zombies, this is ideal, its also way more enjoyable than just zombies as you grow to love the characters and it has a focused plot as well instead of just guts and beheading the undead like some!

3. Awkward. This is definitely one of the less talked about shows but its a light hearted and humurous American show for teens that you can relate to, boys and girls. Its also a lot easier if you do struggle to find the time to sit down as the episode are roughly twenty five minutes compared to the usual 45 minute long programs and trust me, twenty minutes makes all the difference!

4. Gossip girl. An old favourite! I own series' 1-6 on dvd and recently I've been watching an episode or two before bed when I can or just if I'm feeling an early night - it never gets old! I love all of the characters to bits especially Blair and Chuck, they were just meant to be from the beginning, plus the fashion side of things in the show are always so on point! If you haven't watched any of these, you need to open up a new tab and do so now!

5. Pretty Little Liars. If anyone hasn't watched this, you've at least heard about it? (unless you live under a rock that is, its always twitter trending which speculations about A). Its basically four girls are manipulated and blackmailed by an anonymous 'A' after their best friend is kidnapped and to their knowledge killed and this mystery person seems to know all of their secrets & holds them all against them. Theres also some paranoia, cute male leads, love storys, the usual teenage drama and trying to keep themselves out of jail whilst trying to unveil who A is. Its almost the end of season 5 now and its getting oh so dramatic so I'd definitely give it a watch!

6. Revenge. Now I haven't watched the most recent series because if I'm honest I didn't know it was back on my screen (well technically American screens, I'm in time with them) but now that I know, I'm going to be setting aside time and binge watching them all. It basically focuses around the theme of revenge and all the lies and conspiracies that unravel in the process, with of course the odd love triangle here and there.

So thats the lot, thanks for reading, Jenny xo
P.s what are your favourite shows to watch? Have you seen any of these? Let me know if you like these kind of posts or not too

Guest Posting On Cal On The Move: Valentines Day Makeup

11 February 2015
Hi everyone, I'm Jenny and I blog over at Jennys Everyday Life. The lovely Calli from Cal On The Move asked me if I would be interested in doing a collaboration post for Valentines Day and of course I agreed - she's absolutely lovely and if you haven't followed her blog yet, please do! I also guest posted over on her blog so you should definitely pop on over and have a read. With Valentines Day right around the corner and an abundance of date nights we thought we'd create simple Valentines Day makeup looks . Now I know red makeup looks are always a firm favourite but personally I thought the pink would be a lot softer and would suit me a lot more - plus red just screams Christmas to me and at least pink is a bit more Spring-y.

I started applying my go to concealer - the Collection Lasting Perfection over any blemishes I had and since I wanted to have a dewy fresh faced glow I applied my Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation with my Real Techniques expert face brush. Now I would use powder normally to set my makeup but this time I wanted it to stay dewy so skipped this.

The main focus I wanted to be on the eye makeup and the beautiful pinky shades so I used the Maybelline 24 Hour Tattoo in 'Pink Gold' as a base, then opted for the crease colour from my Wet & Wild Trio Palette as an all over colour. I then blended this with the light pink eyeshadow from my Accessorize palette and applied the darker pink shade for in the crease (pictured above). I then applied eyeliner using my Collection Felt Tip liner to give my eyes some more definition and to draw more attention to my eye makeup which is the centrepiece of the look. For my brows I used my MUA Blonde Pencil in Blonde, then a brown eyeshadow from my MUA Heaven & Earth palette to add a more natural look and then set with my Maybelline Brow Drama.

For my cheeks I used my Sleek Face Form Palette to contour my cheek bones and for blusher, since I wanted to keep this look fresh faced and mainly drugstore I then used my MUA mosaic blush which doubles up as a blush and highlight. I then used my MAC MSF in Soft & Gentle (I cheated) for an extra healthy glow. Lastly I applied my Wet and Wild lipstick in  Maeve Outta Here, a lilac colour and completely out of my comfort zone  but on the lip it appears more pink than lilac and a lovely shade if you fancy mixing it up a little from baby pinks or berry shades - it also matches the eye makeup perfectly.

So that's my finished Valentines Day Makeup Look, I hope you enjoyed reading this guest post :) I want to say a massive thank you again to Calli for asking me to do this collaboration as I really liked doing a different kind of post to what I usually would and if you quite liked reading this feel free to pop over to my blog and say hi! Jenny xo

High End Haul

27 January 2015
I'm probably not the only one with a wishlist as long as my arm but at the start of the year and end of 2014, there were too many sales and bargains to resist purchasing a few things as a little treat. Wonderful news for me, terrible for my bank account. Anywho most of the things I actually ordered were beauty related, are you surprised and then the odd perfume chucked in for good measure and I already love them to pieces so I thought I'd put together a little haul post since they're one of my favourites to read!

Ever since I purchased my YSL rouge volupte shine lipstick in the summer I've been dying to try more from their makeup range, it all looks absolutely stunning in its gold packaging and that's the only excuse I have. I'd heard plenty about the touché éclat from other bloggers and beauty lovers but I hadn't convinced myself that I really needed it or could justify the price tag, prettiness aside. However when Feel Unique had a cheeky offer on I managed to snatch it up for less than £20 which I was quite proud of.

The second YSL purchase was the YSL baby doll mascara set, I really wanted to try this and it's usually around the £25 mark so when I saw the set in Boots for £15 I knew it was meant to be, so I not only got the mascara for a bargainous price but also a sample sized makeup remover too! I thought I'd include this as well as I finished my Mac duo over the last week or two but that's a separate post and I couldn't be happier that it's finished and ready to use! It's just so cute and makeup bag friendly.

Christmas is also just a time for gift sets which are often great value so when I saw the Benefit all about prime on offer, I needed it, not only has the porefessional been top of my wishlist for a long time but it also included a skincare sample too. I'm questioning why I didn't get round to purchasing it sooner actually and I'm so eager to try it. Lastly I bought the One Direction You & I perfume gift set which smells incredible, I own their our moment fragrance and loved it so thought it would be right to get their other fragrance too and the bottle looks soonnice sitting on top of my dresser. I actually bought this without realising it was the 50ml bottle but I'm not complaining :) this may not seem like too much but they're  some nice additions to my makeup collection, I should probably put myself on a spending bank now but I hope you enjoyed reading :)

Thanks for reading, Jenny xo
P.s what things have you all been buying lately?

Weekly Ramble #8

30 December 2014
The Sunday after Christmas, in fact the week after Christmas isn't really that great - everyones a bit down that the big day has came and gone so quickly.... then they pick themselves up and put on a cheerful front for the new year. This years pretty much the same. I've worked a lot of the week so honestly I just want to jump into hibernation and sleep until Spring, if only!

This was just a quick snap from Christmas Day, I tried to crop out the presents because I really don't like the whole showing off with hundreds of presents look that some people do - it's just not me but this is a lovely photo of one of our main trees and the surrounding decorations. I absolutely love this time of year, everythings so cosy! I also finished wrapping my friends presents and gave them out too!

A random photo from through the week of some of my beauty bits and pieces, I had a good old sort out for the New Year and all that so I have plenty of room to start again or treat myself to newer things. Also how adorable is that little panda?

It was all about that red lip and highlighter glow throughout the party season - absolutely fool proof and I've been loving using these two lip products to death, practically.

Its all a bit of a downer really, Christmas being over but this week was filled with plenty of festivities in the run up to it, I had every Christmas movie under the sun playing and I'm pretty sure my brother wanted to hit me at some point for it oops! And although I may have left some last minute present buying (by that I mean Monday and Tuesday) it all worked out on the day and now I need to sleep for a long long time. I've also managed to eat my body weight in chocolate so I'd say thats another success and my Christmas playlist & movies have been hidden away for another year!

Thanks for reading, Jenny xo
P.s what have you been up to this week?

Blogmas Day 23: A Festive Lip

23 December 2014
Throughout the year you're lucky if you find me wearing anything relatively bold on my lips & apart from the odd pink its mainly nudes, my ways are changing but come A/W I jump at the chance to wear the boldest colours in my collection (I say bold, but I'm not brave enough to rock deep purple/black, probably ever) such as berrys, purples and reds. I love a classic red at Christmas as it just makes my simple makeup pop and really gets me feeling festive - this year I've been rocking it whilst shopping and I'm loving it - I think that may have something to do with my latest MAC purchase and a certain Russian Red lipstick though.....

If you read my most recent haul post here, you'll know I picked up two lipsticks from MAC, one an everyday pink and the other red. I realised I had no matte reds in my collection that weren't completely drying and I thought this would be the perfect solution. I was caught between Russian Red and MAC Ruby Woo and in the end decided that the less drying one would be best! I thought it would be too bold for everyday wear and I'd have to use it for night time instead but surprisingly its not too in your face for during the day and I've wore it a lot whilst shopping in the run up to Christmas and visiting the Chistmas market (read: mainly eating).

The lasting power is superb, as I said I've been eating a lot whilst wearing this and instead of it rubbing off its stayed put which is seriously impressive. The pigmentation is also amazing on this certain lipstick as with all MAC lipsticks (the photo doesn't do it justice where it looks more pink than red but it isn't) and has the typical vanilla mac smell which I love too. Although its one of the matte formulas it actually feels creamy on application and has a sort of shine to it when on the lips rather than just normal matte and its a colour that'll never be out of fashion. In fact I think it'll be repurchased for my collection for years to come, its just a lovely lipstick thats timeless. I would definitely recommend it to all as it seems to suit most skin tones perfectly or even giving it a swatch next time you're near a MAC counter, now all I need is a red lipliner and I'm set.

My MAC lipstick collection is definitely growing slowly but steadily and I'm so happy to have a red in there as a staple.... I might even have to get a new lipstick holder, oh the problems of a beauty lover.

Thanks for reading, Jenny xo
P.s Whats your favourite MAC lipstick? I need to get my hands on some more.

Soap & Glory: The Next Big Thing

12 December 2014
Every year I'm late to the party and just miss out on the massive Soap & Glory bundle, I never know when it's going to be on sale or else it just flies off the shelves (literally) far too quickly for my liking and this year I was putting my foot down and buying it for myself. I'd seen a few blog posts recently about it coming up soon (by mid December, now I was starting to panic), I'd been religiously checking the Boots website and luckily yesterday I received the wonderful email telling me it would be available from today onwards.

The online version of the next big thing
The in store version of the next big thing
There are two variations of the Soap & Glory: The Next Big Thing set this year, one for those buying the gift online and another for those bought in store, they're both designed by London fashion designer Hattie Stewart and I love both of the designs equally. I think I might prefer the instore version just a smidge more but I'll probably end up ordering the online version for handiness. Both boxes contain the same amount of products, a whopping ten products are included in these, such as body wash, body scrub, hand cream, one of their lipglosses, mascara and body butter.

I haven't tried too much from Soap & Glory but the things that I have tried I've absolutely loved - I think the signature scent plays a part in this and the fact that they're pretty great products too! Each of these products included are full sized, not just minis which is really impressive (probably heavy too) with a massive value of £76 however for this week and being one of Boots most popular star gifts, the gift sets only priced at £29 which is incredible value! For someone who hasn't tried that much from S&G like myself it's ideal as you get to fall in love with test out so many products at once.

I'm definitely going to be making an order later on this morning, I just need to get my hands on it and I would advise you to make an order as soon as possible. These gifts sets due to their amazing value really do fly off the shelves and mums go crazy and buy three / four at a time, not thinking about how they're going to transport them home but I guess they want a bargain, same as everyone else.... all in all, I think I need it.

Thanks for reading, Jenny xo
P.s what do you think of the S&G bundle this year? Is anyone getting it?

The Body Shops Tea Tree Facial Wash

11 November 2014
This weeks been a bit of a tough one for me and usually with tough weeks and stress comes the odd breakout or two but luckily this time around that hasn't happened and I'm pretty sure its because of my new holy grail skincare product... The Body Shops Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash (they couldn't have made a longer name for it if they'd tried) which has helped my spot prone skin so much lately.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash

I'm usually not one for skincare reviews, I mean theres the odd one here and there but they're such an important part of our everyday routines and they're just skipped over it seems. I love finding out about new skincare products whilst reading other blogs and seeing what would work for my skin and for that reason I can sense they'll be making more of an appearance on my own blog.

I've never really used facial washes religiously before as I didn't see any changes in my skin and deemed them a waste of time but not now - maybe I'd been using the wrong facial washes. This facial wash had been sitting in my bathroom for a while now, picked up and forgotten about in a haul and it was only a month or two ago when I was having a really bad skin day I decided to try it and I'm hooked. At first I was a bit wary because some reviews said the tea tree range can be quite drying but upon using it, this isn't the case at all!

The facial wash is a part of the Tea Tree range and aimed primarily at blemished skin or spot prone skin so its suitable for most teenagers and probably young adults too since I'm using it. It also aims to provide an intense daily cleanse in order to remove impurities for clearer looking skin and from what I can see its done just that. My skin has drastically improved over the months I've been using this and apart from the odd spot once in a blue moon (we can't have clear skin 24/7) I feel so much happier having clearer skin and knowing that this product is working. I don't use it daily but every two days to give my skin some variety and I've found less is more when using this product so it lasts for ages. Its also quite a large bottle containing 250ml and for £5 its not exactly breaking the bank, the only downside for some people is that it is scented and the Tea Tree can be a little strong but once you're using it you can't smell it at all, unless you're sniffing the bottle but thats completely different. All in all, I'll definitely be re-purchasing this when it runs out, its wonderful!

Thanks for reading, Jenny xo
P.s have you tried the facial wash or anything else from The Body Shop's Tea Tree range?

Where to find me?

25 July 2014
I always try and post three/four times a week & lets face it apart from Sunday the rest of the days are usually just when I have free time rather than having my 'schedule' and I know this is a little annoying but a good way to keep up to date with when I do post is usually by social media. I'm an iPad/social media addict fiend.

Therefore I thought a post like this would come in handy, these are all the places you can find me :)

Bloglovin'
Every bloggers best friend? I think so, although I have the blogger app I much prefer the Bloglovin' app and I spend so much maybe too much time scrolling, its just so easy to use and I love its simplistic design. It lets me keep up to date with all my favourite bloggers new posts and find new up and coming blogs at the same time! You can follow my Bloglovin' here [link]

Twitter
Even before I started blogging, I had a love for Twitter - then it was a personal Twitter but now I have a new account where I update when I've post and all the other rambling thoughts that pop into my head through the day. Its also so easy to talk to everyone through the #bbloggers trend and chats so if you're reading this pop over and say hi :) You can follow my Twitter here [link]

Instagram
If I'm honest my instagram feed is mainly food, scenery, food, makeup, food and more makeup with the odd selfie - a right old mix.... I just love taking photos and I'l go through phases where I'll just post all the time. Sometimes if you're not in the mood to start reading through posts its nice to just scroll through pretty pictures. You can follow my Instagram here [link]

Google Friend Connect
I feel like this is completely forgotten about by most bloggers but I actually enjoy using this. Its so much easier to just go on blogger on my laptop and see blogs in my feed already. If you still use it let me know, maybe its just me thinking these things. You can follow via GFC on the right hand side of my blog.

Google+
Another one that just isn't used all that much, I'll be honest I still haven't sussed it all out, I just know that you can follow via it and then when I share my posts you get a notification on your google homepage? I think thats it, if anyone does know the right use please fill me in lol! Anyways you can follow via this link [link]

P.s whats your favourite social media site or can you think of any I've left out?

Weekly Ramble #3

7 April 2014
Okay so I know these posts are mainly a Sunday night thing in the blogging world but university deadlines were calling and now I have a life again (aka a blogging life) so its only just being posted, hope you don't mind :)

Last day teaching at College / A wild hair day / A lot of chocolate cake and fatty foods were consumed this week with my fair share of meals with friends and family.

The first picture is of the college my friend and I have been teaching Year 9 students in, at first when I thought of teaching or going to a school I had no idea about I was so scared and found the idea extremely daunting. However when we arrived the staff were as friendly and welcoming as could be, and the students were an absolute dream. On our last day we had a mini party, gave out prizes and took photos, it was nice to have a slightly more relaxed atmosphere around the children and to banter with them whilst still managing to get them to do work. It hasn't really sunk in yet that I won't be returning to school again and although it was a heck of a lot of work (teaching is not for me) I would definitely recommend the experience to everyone. I've grown in confidence as I'm able to present to large classes now, have managed to improve my organisation and time keeping and all round enjoyed myself.

The second picture was a selfie I don't particularly like but it was taken after coming in from the wind and after dinner showing just how crazy the weather really is here. My hair looks a tiny bit windswept to say the least and my makeup was definitely on the neutral side. The rest of the pictures are pretty self explanatory, over the course of the week in between all my deadlines and long nights, I managed to go for dinner not once but twice. Now considering I've a holiday on Wednesday I should probably be 'watching my figure' but a 3 course meal definitely counts as that right? I have a serious weakness for chocolate cake as you may be able to tell and when I was eating out with my friends we ended up in Pizza Hut, somewhere I haven't been to in goodness knows how many years but that pizza was absolutely amazing and it was lovely to catch up with friends who I hadn't seen in a few months due to conflicting schedules.

So a busy week indeed and this week coming is surely to be eventful as I'm off to Cyprus for my University Fieldtrip, honestly it'll be nice to just get away and have some sunshine. How's everyone elses week been?

#NoMakeupSelfie

23 March 2014
You may have all seen this hashtag popping up all over the place, my facebook has been non stop since the end of last week and I usually don't agree with the whole hashtagging on Facebook, only Twitter but I had to ignore it, just this once.

As you might have guessed from the title this is my no makeup selfie for Cancer Awareness! A couple of sceptics have said that posting a picture will not help the cause but in fact it's the donations made whilst posting the pictures that have made all the difference. In a space of 24 hours almost a million pounds was raised due to amazing social media and this trend has continued reaching nearly £2 million in 48 hours and so on.

A couple of my friends had nominated me to post my selfie and although I resemble a young child with no makeup on I braved it and pressed the dreaded 'post' button and alas heres my make up free bake. Its surprising really how many girls are getting involved in this considering makeup is our holy grail for going out in public and plays such a significant role in most girls self esteem.

The trend started on Wednesday when Cancer Research UK posted the donation numbers and since then it has spiralled out of control and made a large amount of money which will no doubt be put to good use by the charity. My friend in Hong Kong has even asked what its all about showing just how well this trend has spread across the world. If anyone is interested in donating to the charity you can text BEAT to 70099 and donate £3 to a really worthy cause or get involved on the Cancer Research website.

Since most beauty bloggers usually have a full face of makeup its a nice change to do a tag such as this so as to show everyone that makeup although well loved can be given up for one post AND a good cause. I'm going to tag everyone reading this and anybody else who wants to get involved to complete this and don't forget to post in the comments if you do take part!

Thank you for reading, Jenny xo

Weekly Ramble #1

16 February 2014
Across many blogs I always see weekly recaps and think that'd be really fun to do but on the other hand I don't have enough exciting things to post about in 7 days. This week however was something different and so I decided to do my first weekly ramble.

First of all we had snow at the beginning of the week which was really unexpected, the odd thing being that it snowed at my University heavily and by the time I travelled home there wasn't any at all. The photo is from walking between classes on campus and it looked too perfect to not take a photo of it. It's also really unusual to have snow in February but I'm not complaining!

On top of that this week I've had far too many Mcdonalds to be considered normal, hello student lifestyle but this was before I realised I have a holiday in less than 2 months and it's being knocked on the head. Is it just me or are chicken nuggets just irrisistable? Secondly Valentines Day arrived and with love in the air and all that, I came home to find my whole house coming down with these adorable heart shaped cupcakes which tasted amazing and again probably didn't do much for the whole diet thing I'm attempting to stick to.

I also went to the cinema not once but twice this week, you can tell that the work load isn't too bad at the minute eh. The first was on Tuesday to see 'The Awkward Moment' for the sole reason Zac Efron was in it and he's a babe and the second was on Thursday to see 'Jack Ryan Shadow Recruit' starring Chris Pine and Keira Knightly. Both movies were surprisingly really good and it was a nice change than sitting in the house. I did have a photo inserted here of my tickets which actually looked quite nice but when it came to publishing they magically disappeared. Lastly I thought I'd post an instagram photo from the week - my Illamasqua order arrived and I fell in love with the pink themed items immediately. I already have a post written and it'll be up sometime in the week so keep an eye out for that one.

As you can see I've had a busy week, well for me anyways and I think after a little pamper session tonight I'll be prepared for my 5am Monday morning start to the week and I'm sure some uni deadlines and work might make its way in there aka less time to be social. Feel free to let me know how your weeks been, if you've tried any of the products or seen the movies above? Or even any recommendations for new things to see/buy?

January Beauty Favourites;

1 February 2014
Where has the month of January gone? It feels like yesterday that we were celebrating New Years and soon enough it'll be Easter! Throughout the month I've loved using so many products - old and new and had a hard time narrowing them down but I eventually managed to for you lovely readers.

With all this cold weather I've found myself reaching for my Baby Lips Hydrate in the morning to keep my lips in good condition because let's be honest chapped lips are not attractive. I've been using this along with my Revlon Lip Butters and these two lip products together work like a dream, out of the ones I own my favourite shade is Macaroon as it gives colour to the lips but not too much and is super moisturising.

For my face I've found an incredible duo in my Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation and Wake Me Up Foundation - usually I wouldn't mix my foundations but on a whim I tried it and well it's definitely a winner. As for eye products about halfway through the month I decided to purchase the L'oreal Miss Manga Mascara whilst on offer and I can safely say since then it has been my trusty go to mascara in the morning. It makes my lashes look long and volumized which always helps in the morning when I need to look more awake.

For most of the month I ditched the eyeshadow that I've ever so fond of and decided to bare all wearing just mascara and then eyeliner. This was mainly due to finding my collection eyeliner in a drawer after being thrown in and forgotten about and I felt like I should give it another chance. For being so inexpensive it really does the trick, it creates a lovely look perfect for everyday wear and I seriously love it.

The last thing I've been properly loving is my perfume of the month Taylor Swifts Wonderstruck Enchanted - last Christmas I received Taylor's original perfume Enchanted and loved it so I felt like asking for her second for Christmas was ideal. At first I thought they smelt quite similar but after smelling them again I realised Wonderstruck Enchanted has more of a floral and sweeter smell whereas Enchanted is quite musky - both however smell amazing and I would definitely recommend them! They are such nice everyday perfumes to spritz on and they last throughout the entire day.

These types of my posts (excuse the irony) are one of my favourites to read so I hope you all enjoy reading mine as well. Have you tried anything in January that you've really loved? Let me know :)
